Rejoicing in the Vitality of our Mind

This is the last part and our favorite part of a skype video between Erric and Elizabeth. In Mahayana Buddhism it is said that the best way to practice meditation is with the attitude of truly wanting to benefit others—the vast attitude of Bodhicitta.

The most famous definition of bodhichitta appears in Maitreya's Abhisamayalankara:

Arousing bodhichitta is: for the sake of others,

Longing to attain complete enlightenment.

In other words, we want to attain the best possible outcome from practice for ourselves so that we can help others.  Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel explains how we can begin to do this in a very pithy, down-to-earth and accessible fashion.
