Can we be wide awake and acutely aware of everything that occurs within and around us while being free from judging and comparing?
Have a look at this video in which Sogyal Rinpoche explains how we can free ourselves more and more from our judgmental attitudes through the process of meditation...

In the West, we are conditioned since birth to criticize and condemn (judge); if not directly, in many devious, and passive-aggress ive ways. And it's not until one is consciously aware that is possible to change the behavior (or try to).
Meditation (training the mind) is one of the most magic tools from which everyone can benefit...a true win/win situation...And ...nobody can get the message across like Rinpoche, with his easy, relaxed manner and his sense of humor.
Great Master, Great Teacher
Thank you Rimpoche
It is a common misunderstandin g that one has to be male to become enlightened (and become a Buddha).
Everyone has the exact same potential to become enlightened. This means that women and men both can become Buddha.
In fact, some of the most revered historical figures in Tibetan Buddhism are female, such as Yeshe Tsogyal and Machig Labdron.
Glad you asked. This is something that struck me too... but there could be any number of reasons why we don't really hear much about women.

I saw this documentary a while ago about nuns in tibet... In one scene, the film-makers go up to the hills to track down a holy woman who has lived in a cave for decades. When they find her– she looks really old and wild with dreadlocks–they ask for some teachings... She is too humble or shy (or something else?) to do so, and just smiles and says nothing. Who knows? Maybe she's enlightened, but nobody knows it!
I'm a fan of St Joan of Arc, who might have been enlightened, but they didn't use that term then. All the female saints in my western culture are heroines too, just different names....
Not sure this is any help, but it's a topic I wonder about too.
